Fergus and Gregor (Father and son) are your hosts and run and present all the events at the farm. They have great passion in hosting you at their unique historical venue the Scottish way!
Both father and son currently co present the ‘Story of Scotland’ a highly entertaining show that includes; stories, songs, music, poetry, readings and the history of their homeland
This will be a memorable experience in a truly exclusive setting in The heart of The Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Fergus, the Father
Is a hill farmer having a close connection with traditional music. He is the founder, manager and a player in The Kinlochard Ceilidh Bandone of the top ceilidh dance bands in Scotland.
The Kinlochard Ceilidh Band have played all over the World in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australasia and North America.
Fergus saw service with the British Army (Royal Highland Fusiliers) for over 22 years, finishing with the rank of Major and the Territorial Decoration. Fergus and his wife, Francesca manage the Scottish Sheepdog School which is based at Ledard Farm, Kinlochard.
Gregor, the Son
Growing up at Ledard in a farming background Gregor was also a former Royal Military Policeman and served with the armed forces overseas for 6 years.
He is recognized as one of the finest presenters of Burns poetry and is an expert on Rob Roy and the weapons of the Highland clans with experience as a re-enactor. He also has extensive experience as an actor and compere. Gregor has a love of Scottish music and plays the Great Highland and Scottish small bagpipes.
